History of Arizona
Arizona was a home for ancient Native American civilizations and it had Hohokam and Ancestral Puebloan cultures which were famous among the state. It was in 1539 when a Spanish Franciscian became the 1st European to contact the Natives of America. Father Kino was the next European in the region and he converted many Indians to Christianity in 1690 and in the early 18th century.
